FFlex eMicro™
FFlex eSuite™'s Microbiology module offers the user complete management of microbiology information in an intuitive, user-friendly Web-based tool. All Microbiology tables are user-modifiable, providing custom dictionaries for different tests, media, antibiotics, organisms, sensitivities, and sources. FFlex eMicro™ operates in a paperless environment, and comes standard with an electronic work card for entering and storing the intermediate and final test results. Along with user-definable worksheets, the system allows the optional use of workcard/labels with user-definable formats.

FFlex eMicro™ accommodates both Kirby-Bauer and MIC sensitivities. For the Kirby-Bauer method, user-modifiable tables define sensitive, intermediate and resistant zone sizes by organism, class and drug. You may also define drug batteries for sensitivity input based on organism class and specimen. For the MIC method, you can define and modify blood and urine values for MIC sensitivities for various drugs and organisms.

FFlex eMicro™ comes complete with quality assurance applications, including consistency checks comparing direct exam results with identified organisms.
